Special Access funding
There are people, some from birth or from an early age, who experience difficulties reaching their potential because of a physical disability, a special educational need or other challenging circumstances.
People with conditions such as autism, dyslexia or dyspraxia, for example, may need extra help and support to help them achieve their ambition.
The EWS Educational Trust has created the Special Access grant for this reason. It’s a discretionary grant for those who it believes would prosper with some financial help.
For example, the Trust will consider providing financial support towards the costs of specialist tutors or equipment to help people with special needs through school, college or university.
A lap top computer perhaps, if one is needed, or perhaps non-medical helpers, travel or transport or other disability-related costs of studying.
The Trust may also be able to help if you have a sporting or artistic talent that needs support.
And remember, to qualify you must have that a close relation who has worked directly for the rail industry.
